Commanding a central position, the hotel is located in the centre of Porthmadog at the quieter end of the High Street where the main A487 and the A497 roads meet.
The Hotel is central to the harbour, Ffestiniog, West Highland, Welsh Highland Heritage railways and all shops which are less than 5 minutes walk.
From whichever direction approached, you cannot fail to be impressed by Porthmadog's stunning setting.
From the south, your enter the town along the famous 'Cob', built in 1811 to form the deep harbour. From there, great sailing ships carried Blaenau Ffestiniog slate around the world.
The Cob also carries the railway built to bring slate.
From the north, Porthmadog is dominated on one side by 'Moel y Gest', 262 metres above the town.
