In 1997 the first full year of passenger train service on the reborn Rheilffordd Eryri - Welsh Highland Railway (Porthmadog). For the enthusiast, this is an historic opportunity to ride this line on the first section of the route to be opened between the World Heritage site of Caernarfon. From here the Railway retraces the original trackbed through Snowdonia National Park and into Porthmadog.
