Just a quick email to thank you all very much for a wonderful 4 night stay at the hotel. I can honestly say that the food there is the best I have ever eaten and I have promised my mum that we will make the 240 mile return journey one evening just to have dinner there again. Hopefully, Neil, myself, and Willow (the dog) will stay with you again in the not too distant future, and I have written a review for each of the suggestions below with glowing references to the food, service and rooms - well, the hospitality in general!!!

Just a short note to say how much we enjoyed our stay in The Royal Sportsman over our anniversary day,
It is nearly 20 years since we last stayed at the hotel. Then, we stayed in one of the Garden rooms - well named as one of the climbing plants outside was growing up inside the bedroom. Additionally, our bed was one of the three legged variety, the fourth being a pile of books. It was a shame as we had stayed there twice before in the 1980's and had enjoyed ourselves.

The transformation between 1990 and now is incredible. The room was lovely and comfy, the food was superlative and we would be grateful if you would thank Kija and Daniel on our behalf for their great, friendly service in the restaurant.

We have responded to the review sites you mentioned, and will have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to friends and relations alike.

Once again, many thanks for a super holiday.

The clealiness of the hotel was fantastic and staff were really friendly and helpful and the outdoor areas with its flowers were beautiful. I stayed at the hotel from Sunday to Tuesday however I forgot to completethe feedback form in the room, therefore I thought I would just drop you an email. I would like to say that the cleanliness of the hotel was fantastic and the staff were all really friendly and helpful, particularly one woman who was behind the bar and then serving breakfast then back behind the bar.

I would also like to compliment you on the outdoor areas, we were in the Garden area and it was spotless and the flowers beautiful, please tell your groundskeeper he is doing a fantastic job.

Also I am vegetarian and the homemade sausages were fantastic, its nice that you take the time and care to make them instead of just buying the onesusually available which are not always that nice. Just one commentregarding food is that Parmesan cheese is not usually veggie so you may wish to consider offering the veggie dishes without those for veggies or with formeat eaters wanting a change.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially the birthday girl who loved every minute of her trip and she is very hard to please!! Thank you all. Donna Green-West Midlands May 2008
