At the end of the day, guests and their dogs can relax in the bar named after Gelert where he loved to mix with guests.
We allow well behaved dogs in the Garden rooms, patio garden and Gelert's Bar where customers can eat and or drink but not the restaurant unless they are official guide dogs.
The hotel offers dog walking twice a day and dog sitting services whilst customers have dinner, both free of charge. It can arrange visits to one of the local animal rescue centres, particularly Freshfields which the hotel sponsors, if a guest is interested in an adopting an abandoned pooch. Even grooming can be arranged
A guide of six short and long walks has been produced by the hotel for guests and their pooches so that the best of Porthmadog can be seen. There is the Cambrian coast with Black Rock Sands and Borth y Gest, beaches close by for dogs to run around and swim in the sea and longer walks in the nearby Snowdonia National Park
In the winter, there are open log fires in Gelert's Bar, a popular place for dogs to sit next to and fall asleep
Water bowls are available and a pet shop is only 30 seconds walk away.
