Directions to the Hotel

 

Our hotel is accessible by car, train, coach/bus, motor/cycle and even boat. We are on Porthmadog town centre’s High Street, near the junction of the main A487 and A497 roads; a mainline Cambrian Coast train station and a picturesque harbour. The nearest towns are Caernarfon (north), Dolgellau (south), Bala (east) and Pwllheli (west).

By Road

From London via Birmingham

Any motorway to M6 north-west of Birmingham M54 to Shrewsbury.

Then either:

A5 north to Llangollen and Corwen; left on A494 to Bala; right on A4212 to Porthmadog.

Or: A458 to Dolgellau, A470 to Blaenau Ffestiniog junction, and A487 to Porthmadog.

Manchester, Chester & North West England

M6 south then M56 west to Chester & North Wales; A55 North Wales Expressway to Bangor, then A487 to Caernarfon and Porthmadog.

From Cardiff/South Wales

A470 North to Porthmadog

Birmingham to Porthmadog (Slow but scenic on Transport for Wales Trains Cambrian Coast mainline)

London to Birmingham (Virgin Express)
